Founded by Jose Arias, Elevate Finishes LLC began with a simple goal: to bring higher standards to every wall, room, and space we touch. What started as a passion for precision painting has evolved into a trusted remodeling and finishes company serving homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients across the Lake Norman area.
Over the years, we’ve developed strong relationships with real estate investors, HOAs, and builders by delivering on time, communicating clearly, and treating every property like our own. Whether it’s a one-room repaint or a multi-unit turnover, we show up with professionalism, skill, and a commitment to excellence.
About Our Founder
What drives our founder, José Arias, is pretty simple; it’s his faith and being successful for his family.
His wonderful wife takes care of their three amazing boys and she also cares for countless others as a nurse. She’s just as driven and passionate about caring for those who can’t take care of themselves, as he is about taking care of your renovation projects.
Mr. Arias is extremely grateful to God for the gifts he has in his wife and kids. For him, it’s about coming home to see their smiles every day; this is what truly motivates him. He says, “they are my inspiration in everything I do—not just in this business, but in life.”
Mr. Arias got into painting and renovation right out of high school. His first renovation job took him to the Hamptons in upstate New York to work on large homes. This experience really opened his eyes to the industry. He soon studied electrical work at Lincoln Tech Institute in New Jersey.
He eventually joined a larger painting company where he worked his way up from foreman to superintendent. From there, he managed multiple projects across Manhattan and started taking on subcontracting opportunities, which led him to open his own business. He’s led significant residential painting and commercial remodeling projects in New Jersey. He stayed in the profession, primarily because he enjoys seeing spaces transformed. He knows what it takes and how to execute projects, so clients receive work at the highest quality.
Over the years, Mr. Arias has developed a wide range of skills—from detailed painting techniques to managing high-end projects. He’s worked on large-scale projects in Manhattan, including one of his most notable jobs: the Aman Hotel on Fifth Avenue. This project involved specialty paints, custom accent walls, and high-level finishes that required precision and creativity. This experience helped to elevate his already high standards and provided the tools and techniques he now brings into every home, project, and commercial partnership. Every team member is always trained with that same attention to detail, so they can continue to hone their craft.
An Elevate Finishes Success Story
One of my favorite success stories started with a small job—just replacing a front door for a client. It was a custom door that took about three months to arrive. Even before we finished that job, the client gave us more work at one of his businesses. He owned a couple of Goddard Schools (a franchise daycare), and we ended up doing painting, flooring, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and cabinet installations in both of the schools. Through his referrals, we also traveled to Connecticut to work on other Goddard Schools owned by his contacts. On top of that, we completed more projects in his home, like renovating his laundry room, bathroom, flooring, and more painting. It all started with one door, and it turned into a great working relationship with multiple projects across different properties.
